WILDERNESS AND TRAILS
Mickey Hill Pocket Wilderness is a beautiful and secluded wilderness area and is located on Route 8, 10 minutes from Annapolis on the way to Kejimujik National Park. It features scenic walking trails, a picnic area and beach.
French Basin Trail is located in Annapolis Royal just off Hwy 1. This 1.2km easy walking trail encircles the Annapolis River Marsh. Abundant wildlife to these essential wetlands makes the trail popular all year to cross country skiers and bird enthusiasts.
24 km North West of Annapolis Royal are Delaps Cove with two wilderness trails - Bohaker Trail, with its magnificent waterfall, and Charlie's Trail. Each has its own unique ecosystem including forests and coastline.
Evangeline Trail and Lighthouse Route Balancing Rock Trail - Long Island are also well know trails in the area.
