Annapolis Tidal Generating Station is the first (and only) modern tidal plant in North America and attracts more than 35 000 visitors a year. Situated in the river it benefits from the huge tidal variation in the Bay of Fundy. It is the largest straight flow turbine in the world, generating more than 30 million kilowatt hours per year.
The visitor information centre is open year round and uses interesting multimedia features and displays to explain how it all works.
